In Response To: Re: KKV-7 Flechette... Suppressed? (Krazy) AFAIK, the idea behind a suppressor is fairly simple. Usually the suppressor is a large tube attached to the end of the weapon's barrel. Inside the tube is a series of walls, each of which has a hole for the bullet to pass through. When fired, the muzzle flash gases expand into the series of chambers in the suppressor, reducing the amount of gas that exits the muzzle and produces the gunshot sound. |
