: One thing I did find about the combat and level design, though, was that I
: lost a lot of shield power trying to fight Fl'ickta underwater, and that I
: ran straight through the end of the level conscious of not having explored
: everything, with weak shields. That made my first exploration of the next
: level somewhat tense...
There's a shield recharger near the beginning of the level and, as I recall, one near the end (I'm trying to stay at least a level or two ahead). Not to mention that you don't need to kill the Fl'ichta at all - just float above them and drop down only as needed to get where you need to go - particularly if you already know where you're going.
I have to admit that I'm finding all of these levels a lot easier than when I first played them, but it always helps to know what to expect. I also think my skills are approaching vidmaster level, which helps a lot, and the newer scenarios, as Mark pointed out, are a lot more sophisticated. I'll probably be humbled by Evil. Interestingly, however, I am finding new discoveries in SoNK this time around. I'm much better at finding secrets now, and there was no spoiler guide for SoNK to help me make sure that I didn't miss any. Nothing much on this level, but in a couple of levels, there'll be a lot to discuss.
