hehehe... that was Col. Richey. He had an assault rifle and heavily armoured. Your mission was to carefully guide him around while he helped you clear out the level, you had to keep him alive, without him you had no hope. But when his energy level got low you had to stay further and further away from him otherwise he had a habit of shooting you.

OT did my head in. He had multiple paths leading to either failure or success. Advanced for its time. In hindsight probably too difficult for the average player who just wanted to shoot stuff.

And yes... all done with the M1 engine. Came out just after the release of M2 so it never really had a chance. Folks just wanted to play and create M2 scenarios from then on.
