Aye, there was no cooperative play in the original Marathon.
One of the big jobs in trying to make M1A1 look more like the original Marathon was fixing the ammo placements so that the additional ammo added for cooperative play didn't show up in the solo game. So every ammo placement had to be checked and confirmed with the original. :(
