I was working on a student-run festival on the U of California Davis campus in 1996. One of the guys in the office had loaded his version of M2 onto the Power PCs up there and tried to get some net games going on a LAN. I happened across the game while tidying up my files one afternoon.

Funny thing is, the festival was basically an effort at recreating the energy of Woodstock, with a bunch of educational tables, vegetarian/vegan food, and assorted sustainably produced handicrafts. Meanwhile, I was upstairs blasting Pfhor to hell.
