In Response To: Vacuum Combat (TimBranin)

: Not to fault the game in any way shape or form, but I'm interested in the
: actual ramifications of having gun fights in a vacuum enviroment. Namely,
: if you got shot while in vacuum wouldn't everything just get sucked
: through that bullet wound; blood, guts, the contents of your bowels?
: Furthermore, if you were in tight quarters wouldn't all of this just
: expand to fill whatever space you were in, so for a time you might
: actually find yourself simming in blood and gore. I'm writing a short
: story on the subject right now, and I was wondering if there's anyone here
: who knows more about physics than me who can either confirm or deny my
: hypothesis. Though I'll probably still write the story either way.

The short answer: no.

As for stuff spraying into the vacuum after being shot, I suppose it would, just as a real wound would bleed all over the victim.

But the suits of the Marine are built to keep a safe personal environment (hence the oxygen tank) so it is not a stretch to say that the suit can handle getting pummeled by projectiles.
