Vacuum Combat

Not to fault the game in any way shape or form, but I'm interested in the actual ramifications of having gun fights in a vacuum enviroment. Namely, if you got shot while in vacuum wouldn't everything just get sucked through that bullet wound; blood, guts, the contents of your bowels? Furthermore, if you were in tight quarters wouldn't all of this just expand to fill whatever space you were in, so for a time you might actually find yourself simming in blood and gore. I'm writing a short story on the subject right now, and I was wondering if there's anyone here who knows more about physics than me who can either confirm or deny my hypothesis. Though I'll probably still write the story either way.
