Thank you! I don't believe we ever released something for Marathon 1; we didn't really get going until Forge came out. I'll be the first to agree with anyone that it's sad things ended like this. Another crew member, Turtle, and I had a chat today about it and we came to the conclusion that we bit off more than we could chew with Aurora. We reason that had it been produced as originally intended--as just a scenario map-pack instead of a full-on total conversion--Aurora would have been out in 1999 or 2000 and we'd have all continued to make more projects together. The Atlantis Crew would have turned out vastly different and this fate would have been avoided.
But that's total speculation. What's important now is that the tru7h about Aurora being dead for several years is out there and we're not leading people on anymore. Even if there are only a few dozen active fans left, it's important to me to let them know what's going on with something we used to keep asking people to keep holding on for. 7 years is a long time to wait for something only to be told it was never to be. The real question is, do we ask for forgiveness or are we just shouting in an empty room?
