In Response To: Oddity (C Lund)

: I found this really odd behaviour in the first vacuum level of the Gemeni
: scenario, and wonder if it's a bug in AO or Marathon or a feature of some
: kind: I was running out of air when I found an invulnerability powerup.
: The powerup lasted longer than the air. But instead of croaking when the
: air ran out, I got this loud absorbtion burp and then I suddenly didn't
: need air any more. I could keep on playing with zero air in a vacuum level
: - even after the invulnerability wore off.

: Has anybody else experienced this?

Yep. As I understand it what happens is Marathon does uber damage to the player when the air hits zero. Invulnerability makes this not hurt you. So unless you get more air back and lose it again, you're fine.
