: You should be ashamed, but not for missing Bob-B-Q. That was our error
: (Sidoh's and mine) - we were using M1A1 rather than the original M1. What
: you should be ashamed about is that the first message of terminal 2 in Try
: Again is indeed accessible in the game, but not where you think it is. The
: M1 engine works quite differently when it comes to terminals than
: M2/Infinity and a message can be displayed on more than one terminal. The
: first message is not displayed on the end terminal, but rather on the
: secret terminal that can only be reached by heading into the lava,
: exterminating a hunter and then rocket-launching yourself to a secret
: room. Don't remember this? Go back and play it again (there is an
: invincibility located elsewhere in the map that makes this a lot easier
: than it sounds).
Ah, that makes sense. Actually, the reason I even ran into the three messages is because of a project I'm working on. I pulled the three based purely off of how they were listed on the Story Page.
My actual Marathon playing experience is significantly lacking. To my shame I don't remember if I've played all the way through M1. I'm a tad young to have been around and playing during Marathon's prime time and so I didn't really catch on until a few years ago.
So... I've been concentrating on M2 + M? for now which is why there are huge gaps in my Marathon knowledge. Everything is still brand new for me.
