: Eh? News to me. If memory serves Bob-B-Q is a rescue level not extermination.
: Are you sure you got a third messsage at the end terminal to the effect
: that you didn't kill enough enemies so you need to go back?
I think Hamish and the story page are correct. In the original Marathon, Bob-B-Q is a rescue level. Using ResEdit, there is only one set of terminal text for Bob-B-Q. There is a "failure" section, followed by a "success" section, followed by a "briefing" section. The failure/success section is printed depending upon whether enough Bobs are saved. In any case, the "briefing" section is printed regardless of the mission's outcome. Thus there are only two possible terminal results on this level. Nowhere in the text is it mentioned that the player must go back to defeat more enemies.
However, in M1A1, the level is designated extermination. Looking at the terminal text of Bob-B-Q using Durandal Terminal browser, the "unfinished" message does direct the player to go back and kill any remaining enemies. So, Steve and Sidoh, were you perhaps talking about M1A1?
