: You might want to contact Speaker-to-Animals, aka Alexander Strange . He
: used to post here frequently, but hasn't in recent months. He was/is
: involved with AO and could probably help you through this.
Good idea. I'll give it a shot.
: BTW, I'm not sure if it was from him or from someone else on the forum, but
: the only reason Mark's changes haven't been incorporated into the main
: build of AO yet is that they are not fully SDL-compatible. Until they can
: find the time to make these changes truly cross-platform, they aren't
: going to be added. Not to discourage you, Chris, and no one wants to see
: Rubicon X completed than I, but a lot of the people playing Marathon these
: days are on PC's. You only need read the forum to see that. Once you find
: out how to compile AO, you might want to ask for someone here to work on
: the PC version, too.
I am working on Rubicon X mostly for my own sake. This means I'm interested in releasing it for OS X. If RX is ever completed, I'll release the source code for the AO/RX engine as a seperate download and then anybody who wants to port it to other platforms will be welcome to do so. Of course, if somebody steps up and offers to do the ports while I'm working on the thing then that's fine too.
