In Response To: Re: How To Build A Scenario (Tyler) : A demo, you say. Not a bad idea... not a bad one at all... I was thinking
Not really so much a demo... think of it as a prototype. You're putting together something to demonstrate the basic idea of what you want to do, a story teaser and a sample of some map work, and see what people think of it, what's good about it and where it needs work. Expect a lot of feedback (request it, even!), some or even a lot of it negative, and revise that map based on that feedback. It's much easier to test and revise on the small scale of a single map than it is on a huge project - which is why I freaked out so much when everybody started criticising Eternal after I released Mark I (which was in and of itself a rather large chunk of work, nevermind the rest of the project). : Yep, thanks for your words, Forrest. I've now realised what I must do... Yaaaay :-) ...and my work here is done... ("What work? You've just been standing there talking. You didn't do anything!")
