It shouldn't
: be too hard an essay to write, if you actually read the poem (yes all
: ~4000 lines). What's the word limit?

About six pages, doubble spaced. Not a huge issue. Thanks for your commentary about the poem Reiginko.

ukimalefu: Oh give me a break. I'm not making strange connections like the one you implied. The topic is one of about ten that were assigned. I simply chose one that was farthest away from topic like:

"Discuss the symbolic and historical impact of the Viking raid on the monastic community at Lindisfarne." At least the Song of Roland is more accessable. :D
