I believe the Marathon was launched in 2472,11/16; wile the POA didn’t reach Halo until Sep 19, 2552. But yes, the actual *attack* on the marathon didn’t start until 2794, 07/25, 08:20.
There are other timeline conflicts as well: for instance, in Marathon’s timeline, there were no outer colonies until the attempt to reach Tau Ceti with the Marathon, wile in Halo’s timeline, outer colonization started on Jan. 1, 2362, with the launch of the Odyssey (a little over 100 years before the launch of the Marathon.)

Possibly. However, when talking about connections between Marathon and Halo, I prefer to leave MI out of the picture: everything just gets *way* to convoluted. I usually attribute his deja vus to the fact the he is a re-animated soldier, once dead, but now brought back to life in cyborg forum.
But then of course I’ve got that “Eternal Warrior” bit staring me in the face… uhg. Marathon is way to complicated for simpletons like me.
