blackstar OMG

I've just downloaded the map blackstar from fileball, unfortunately, there was some problems when I unstuffed it, so alephone and infinity couldn't read the mapfile. However, I was able to extract levels with forge and play them one by one.

And I'm glad I did. I have never heard of this Authour before, he's unknwon to me, but boy he got skills. It's been long since I've been impressed by mapmaking and studied it in detail, but now he bring me back that feeling, that feeling of competition, he just does everything right in every single corner of the map. The designing skills are "AMAZING", I need to say that twice, really really Amazing. Some people maybe have heard of using Areas multiple times, he's definately heard of it, and he shows us how to use it to the extreme in a very nice way. It's like every corridor and room are twitched together in the most unbelievable way. You need to see this for yourself. Flow is flawless, you're like a ball bouncing down a mountain, many paths, but you always gets closer to the bottom. The action is tight too, got me hanging on the rope on normal. Still he offers many great tactical spots, opportunities to takeout enemies at distance before you come there. Explorers will love these levels as much as maze hating players will. The guy makes it so perfect, you feel like you explore and can choose whatever way you like, but really, he's leading you exactly to where he wants you to go. He got clean and nice looks, he's succeeded to make beautiful views with few polygons. If you like marathon when it is at best, you owe yourself to play this one.
