I meant to mention another possibility. If the speed of the platforms were to be increased enough, then I believe the regenerating enemies wouldn't pose as much a problem as they do now. It's the combination of the enemies constantly firing at you, along with the slow movement of the platforms that make the level more tough than it should be.
