Sorry if I gave the impression that I didn't like the level - in fact, I reexplored it so thoroughly for this post that it now feels like home. The frustration part came from those *#$% circular rooms with the crushing platforms - and the opening ambush is horrendous following the numerous attempts the player just made to ascend the pillars in Roman Baths.
And never hesitate to provide background - the discussion of the Mary Rose, traditional archery and archeology was fascinating - a real insight into your frame of mind when designing this level. Fix the crushers, tone down the opening ambush or provide a PB at the end of the last level and add a few more secrets and it will be a fav.
