: Given that this part of the level contains only a 1x shield canister, having
: regenerating enemies never made much sense to me. For the record, I am not
: in favor of returning to the regenerating head bots. But if we do, i agree
: with Steve....slow the regeneration rate considerably.

Not to mention the head bots are now (well, are meant to be) significantly weaker than before.

: Alternatively, you could provide a 2x canister right before the teleporter
: that starts the blood run.

Sounds good. We could also disable the PB after a successful blood run, or make it impossible to return to the upper level.

: Despite my comments above, I could live with these regenerating beetles. I
: find them easier to deal with than those head bots.

The main reason the regenerating beetles were removed was to prevent the level getting overloaded and breaking the AI. I suppose it would be possible to allow beetle regeneration up to a much lower maximum number than Ian had originally set.

: As far as I can tell, everything is as before. The bridge is raised by
: crossing over a poly in the room that the blood run exits into.

Yep, and this is how it was in the original RED.

: I like Steve's idea of strategically placed rechargers/canisters. However,
: I'd prefer to leave the level of recharge from the Mace as is. Although I
: was able to finish the scenario using only the 25 provided, I don't think
: that is enough to make a reasonable scenario for all players. I believe 50
: or so uses of the Mace would be more reasonable.

Let's see if I can fix all the obvious bugs in the fusion mace first, so we can try it with the exact behavior we planned instead of in this broken state.
