If he got stuck at his dying sequence there can be two problems, one in physics and one in shapes. This is what I think:
Physics -
Check out the soft and hard dead sequence number and see if it matches the one in the shapes file.
Shapes - use anvil 1.03, and check the dying and dead sequences. Make sure views is not set to "one not animated".
