There is a large door back near the elevator when you came up at the start of the level - you haven't opened it yet. That's why you can't find the exit - there's a large area you haven't explored yet. The switch for this door is back deep within the cave-like area in the southwest area of the map. You're not that far from it in your picture - just head north from where you are - you can even see it on that map.
