If you could point out exactly where they are, Mark can fix them.

In other words, if a player is stupid enough to use the mine packs for something else before they are really needed, and if they are stupid enough not to have a saved game from an earlier level, then let them replay the entire scenario up to that point? I know that there are plenty of instances where the palyer could be caught in a similar bind in the original trilogy (does Acme Station come to mind?), but I agree with Mark - if there is a simple fix to avoid leaving the player with an unplayable game, we should use it.
