Good idea. Of course, the ONI (speculatively) already knows something or other about Halo- they defended Sigma Octanus like it was the nextstep to Earth. As soon as they heard of those rocks, they got real excited. My guess is that with your litle speculation, we can fill n the tiny gap of knowledge about how the Chied does take the fight to thae Covenant.
