Same number :-) : muahahahaha I gotta say... that's hard to believe. The original Cortana messages were sent from Bungie's offices... in Chicago. Those IP addresses were cast by the wayside when they moved to Redmond, almost 2000 miles away. (For example, www.bungie.net is currently at 207.46.228.19... and email from within Bungie offices originates from the 157.54.14 \8.) So if the message was really posted from 209.125.9.49 (and I really, really, really doubt it was), it was someone with enough access to the New Edge Networks' admin system that they could use this IP address for long enough to post. (It's currently not in use - but it belongs to a netblock owned by New Edge.) Anyone with that sort of skill would be pulling far more sophisticated pranks than posting existing poetry to a Halo fansite forum.
