| Question about cloak anomaly | |

One time my friend drove up to a cloak, got out to pick it up, and immediately got back in. Even though he became cloaked, the cloak was still on the ground as if it had not been picked up. I tried a bunch of times to reproduce this, but I could never make it happen again. But, recently I have had similar anomalies with cloaks and overshields without a vehicle. I'll pick it and use it, but it will still be on the ground. I'm not claiming to report something new, I just have a question about whether I explain it correctly with the following. Cloaks (and overshields) have a timer for when they pop back on the map after one has been taken. But, this timer doesn't start when a person takes the cloak, it is always going. Even if you don't touch the cloak, it will replace itself over and over - it's just unnoticable because each replacement is in the same spot as the proceeding cloak. In the case of my friend with the jeep, he just happened to grab the cloak right before the timer ran out, and so the replacement popped in right as he picked up the original. That is also why two people can be cloaked at the same time in multiplayer.
