Based on your numbers, the circumference of Halo is 31,395.3 km ( (360/3.44)300 = circumference). That would put the ratio of width and circumference at roughly 10k/30k or 1/3. A rough visual estimate will tell you it doesn't have a 1/3 ratio appearance at all --- it's more like 1/100+.
