What is the grunt saying? (spoiler)

What exactly is the grunt in the shortcut tunnel on the last level saying? "Good thing that before we left the starship, because man have I worked up a big thirst" ????? I can't tell for sure. This is after foehammer is supposed to pick you up, turn into the first open tunnel, turn right again, go up to the last grunt, wait. he jumps up and down and says this, but I'm not clear on what he's saying.
