In Response To: Miniature cave troll (Rockslider) : Wow, that Halo 4 Grunt sure is an ugly critter. From this angle he reminds me : of the cave troll in the first Lord of the Rings film, when they went into : the mines. That guy didn't have a plasma pistol though. Plus he was a good : deal taller. You must have missed the discussions when the Grunts were first revealed. General consensus was: Cave Troll. They should have ditched that tube that runs under the Grunt's eye. The nose mask is supposed to make visibility better but that tube must obscure vision. Just run a tube to the back of the helmet and have a slight ridge run over the top of the helmet to the nose piece.
