In Response To: H:CEA Preorder bonus revealed! (TCKaos) *twitch* Must... resist... urge... to preorder. Ah, who am I kidding? I'm caving in. It's gorgeous. They got rid of at least two placeholders (MA5B and M6D). And it's Halo 1 Campaign. So I might never get over the lack of H1's MP, but at least it's only $40, which is fair deal for the on-disc content. Now they have a skull that unlocks potential for sooooo many of the epic grenade chain reactions that I loved so much in Halo 1. So, I surrender to 343. They got my preorder. Anywho, I think this pre-order bonus is just an immediate unlock for the Grunt Funeral skull. It pretty much also confirms skulls will be a feature in the game and it implies you'll likely have to find them just like in Halo 3 (if not, then only those who pre-order will get it, and that's bad to lock out gameplay features like that; I'm preordering just to be safe). If this is so, then Grunt Funeral will likely be in some out of the way place that only the more dedicated Halo explorers (and people that go on GameFAQs) will find. And considering that Halo 1 still has more opportunity for exploration than any of its successors, there are a TON of good places to hide skulls, which was a subject I brought up a few weeks ago.
