In Response To: So you're on a desert island: (Jillybean) This is a fantastic question jillybean. Taking this question seriously has really given me some fantastic nostalgia. I'd almost forgotten how much of my life has been poured into Halo. Given we have to narrow it down to a single level it was easy for me to narrow it down to Halo:CE. I love the other games but HCE just has the replayability and those memorable levels more than any other. Initially I was probably leaning towards AotCR, it is the most memorable and definitive Halo level in my mind. But after reading some very well argued responses I started to lean towards Two Betrayals, its got all the goods bits of AotCR with additional flood for variety. But what clinched it was this description from uberfoop: "those vast, peaceful snowy canyons in that teal light with those eerie windy noises... Wow. Never gets old, never gets unwow" That reminded me of how immersive and atmospheric Two Betrayals is. Its at this point in the game that you really feel the scale of story, you're one tin man and a talkative computer trying to stop weapons of galactic destruction in a 4 factioned shit fight. The eerie wind and music as you first hop into your banshee, and the fight after FINAL RUN is one of my favorite in the game. I love all of the fights when you're chucked into the middle of someone else's battle, and this one gives you so many ways to go about finishing it. Two Betrayals does it for me :)
