In Response To: Re: If it's pitch-perfect, awesome. Otherwise... (Cody Miller) : What exactly WOULD you change? To me, the point of a remake is to change : things, or else, why remake it? If all you're going to do is update the : graphics, then really what's the point? You've got to give me a reason to : buy it. Halo 1 still exists and I can play it. It sounds like you like : pretty much everything about it. So… why not play it? Narc touched pretty well on what I'd like to see. I think we'd diverge in a few places, but he covered the majority of it. Maybe the reason I prefer the old-school physics engine is that I'm so used to it. I never have adjusted well to the new frags, or to the Warthog post-H1. I was a good Warthog driver there (I pulled off a perfect, no-explosives backflip once, but sadly it wasn't on tape), and I've never quite adjusted to the Hog differences in the later games. I'm not saying they couldn't change *anything*, which looking back is how my first post probably came off. I am saying that you'd have to be very, very careful what you did change. For instance, adding armor abilities probably wouldn't be a good idea, I think. I do like the idea of tweaking the Flood to be a little bit more what they were originally meant to be, and eventually became. Obviously, since they were only released a few hours before the Library happens, they shouldn't have had time to take over and make it a real hive yet, but even just visually, getting them closer might be a nice touch. -Nate
