Chances are you wouldn't like it and you might then : conclude you don't like maple syrup and refuse to have it again, and while : that's valid in that everyone has their own tastes and feelings, it's : invalid in that you didn't really have proper maple syrup. To use a : metaphor, I posit you've had vanilla-flavored, watery, bland syrup and : assume it's all like that. : (and yes, my mom accidentally used vanilla extract once) I'm an illustrator and so I'm perhaps more inclined than most to find aesthetics an important part of the overall "experience". From the atmosphere of the environments, and the ferocity of the villains, to the pacing of the cuts and over-all animation. However, you're quite right, the art isn't everything, but when did I ever imply it was? If Halo 3 came out, but it was full of rap-music and electronica instead of Marty's great orchestral pieces, it doesn't matter whether you're the biggest Halo fan in the world, you're going to be dissapointed in the music. An integral piece of the Halo "feel" would have been butchered. Even if the gameplay more than makes up for it, you can't deny that the poor choice of music brings the overall game down significantly. I feel the same way about this. Even if the story is exceptional, it will always fall short of perfection in my opinion. So please reread my post carefully. I never said this project will be terrible in its entirety, I said that a major aspect will be ruined. And no, when I think of anime, I don't think of Pokemon or Sailor Moon. I know there are some fantastic anime films and series, but like I said, there's a time and a place for japanese art, and I don't think a western sci-fi fits the description. Sorry for the extremely late reply.
