: your referring to the first strike book, which involved a crystal that would : 'bend time and space' an all that, causing all wierd things. : It'd be kinda weird to have cryo, as someone said, if it felt instataneous It can feel as a few hours travel time to those aboard a Slipspace vessel and have more time actually pass in the 'real world'. This would make sense in the case of time passing from Nov 17th to travel to the Ark and then back again and it be around March of the next year. The Chief didn't enter cryo until the portal had collapsed and that was presumably around March, 2553 on Earth. So if he could stay up and about out of cryo, I'd assume the trip was only a matter of days at the most through the portal while 3+ months have elapsed on Earth.
