In Response To: Re: About the novel? (Q) "The fall of Reach" (Louis Wu) You'll be able to order it in English from Amazon.com They ship anywhere ^_^ I get stuff from amazon.co.jp all the time. But think about it before you buy it. Signal Shattered was an ok book but not spectacular and the concept of Fall of the Reach doesn't exactly make a whole lot of sense tactically speaking. Why would an alien life form intent on genocide, not colonial encroachment or slavery, be bothered dropping ground troops onto a planet for infantry engagements? Since humans presently have the capacity for all kinds of nasty ways to wipe a planet you'd think aliens with FTL tech would certainly be capable of such warfare without even setting foot down on the rock. In fact I thought that was part of the premise of Halo. The only reason the aliens didn't just glass the humans is they want something from the Halo or have other tactical reasons not to carpet bomb, germ nuke, etc. the surface. It might be fun in the same way Starship Troopers made zero sense but...having read some of this author's stuff don't count on something like Gust Front or Redliners. j
