Personally, regarding the Flood I think a shotgun will always work better then a church. Although, maybe holing yourself up IN a church with a shotgun would be a good plan.

Bottlenecking your opponent, anyway. :-D

This first part is just kidding, but I was thinking about something along the lines of Halo/church.

I was reading an article at the Harper's Magazine website regarding a conservative Christian organization that seeks to influence decision making in Washington D.C. (I'd link to it, but it's for subscribers only) Now, not to get too OT regarding politics/religion, but the leader of this group would consistently refer to the need for it's organization's members to form a 'Covenant' regarding their goals, beliefs, etc.

Again, not to get into an argument regarding any particular system of belief, but I was always impacted by the Halo series 'discusses' what I would say as 'blind adherence to a system of beliefs.'

It can be a dangerous thing, for sure.
