Now, if you could provide proof that they DIDN'T have these factories, I'd be finished. : Really, there's too many unknowns here, so instead, we have to look at the : evidence provided regarding Forerunner industrial capabilities and draw a : conclusion. The two most obvious answers are that either A: that they : didn't have the factories to produce the Sentinels, or B: they had the : factories, but the Flood were too powerful even for the armies they : produced. Either one works. Even at the end of the war, their resources strained, they managed to produce the Onyx facility. Surely closer to the start of the war it'd be that much easier to make many Sentinel factories?
