(Honestly) :No. The W'rkncacnter was (or were) an evil godlike being in Marathon who fought the Jjrro (Marathon's Forerunners) into extinction. It infected almost the entire galaxy because the forerunners continued to use meatbags to combat the Flood, instead of the overwhelming firepower of large numbers of Sentinals. But its implied that it also infected the area that it came from. It would have all the knowledge of the inhabitants of that galaxy. A galaxy. There are currently only six billion minds on Earth right now, and look at all the technology and ideas that we've come up with. Now imagine trillions of minds, their memories stored in what amounts to a computer bank, accessible at any time by a single entity who is at war with the universe. He would be unstoppable. The Forerunner were a group of extremely intelligent beings. That was their weakness. They were small and divided individuals rather than a massive and infinte individual. Gravemind was the Flood, and he was a god. Gods don't lose.
