(sketchfactor) : So it really comes down to what would people want more? some quick and dirty : "ports" that were 99% accurate to the originals and perhaps : available in more volume or fewer, better looking re-designed maps?... Or : just completely original maps altogether and no more throw-backs to the : old days. Between those two, I'd much rather have new maps. But I'm not really a fan of either of those. Quick and drity ports seem lazy, and while the play might be fun, the concept just doesn't thrill me. I'd much rather have all new maps. But having completely new maps with no nostalgic throwbacks? I dunno about that either. I like the spritual successors. I genuinley feal that Coag -> Valhalla or Standoff = Progress. Although, you might want to get a team working on Official foundry "ports." I know the community has gone Retrocrazy on Foundry, with a only a couple of "good" remakes. While some awesome originals resulting from failed reconstructions, some re-makes would be hard to do without Bungie Level tools, -Namely a way to get outside the death barrier on foundry and build bottomless death-pit maps outside of it. If such a free, ariel construction zone exists out of Foundry's bounds, I'm confident only Bungie knows how to get to it at this point. A while back, a friend of mine said it would be, "Awesome if Bungie had a Retro Playlist involving Foundry remakes of old Bungie (Not Halo) maps."
