In it, I described : how it wasn't necessarily that we project ourselves onto him, but, like V, : he represents everyone and therefore can't have one face. If we saw his : face, we wouldn't associate him with the entire human race, which is what : he represents. Just like V represented the people being controlled by : government. V summed it up best when he said, "Evey, please. . .there : is a face beneath this mask, but it's not me. I'm no more that face than I : am the muscles beneath it, or the bones beneath them." : The reason we needn't see his face is because it's the least important thing

I understand your point, but I stand by mine; in my opinion, they've already gone over the line by giving him other character-defining elements. I don't think there's any real difference between a face and a voice. And I imagine a lot of blind folks would likely agree with me. =P
