If you'll forgive me Jman, that's a poor argument against the option to switch off the music. The key point here is that the user should be allowed to play in the style they prefer, not always in one particular style preferred by the powers-that-be at Bungie. If I fancy playing without music today, it harms nobody and doesn't disrespect Bungie's efforts. Besides which, the sounds of battle and of the environment have their own aesthetic appeal. Sometimes I'd play with music (I like it, and can be heard humming it on a daily basis!), sometimes I'd like things more austere. The lack of an option to switch music off would merely serve to reduce the overall amount of enjoyment that I can get from the game. There's no logic in that - it's needless inflexibility - and I wish Bungie would finally get around to realizing it. : Hmm, I have an excellent compromise. Make this option available after
Ah-ha, you've relented a little by the end of your message! Glad to hear it. Ok, that 'compromise' would be good enough for me, bearing in mind that I'd doubtless have wanted to play with the music to begin with anyway. Bungie can ensure that everyone hears the music at least once, and we'll all be happy. Woo-hoo!
