Not only would you no longer be constrained to co-opping with your buddies (which you might not be able to do all the time, just like LAN play), but there's the added benefit of having a whole screen to yourself. "2. Wide open levels with the ability to play them through in numerous ways (like SC). I'm pleased to hear (from the updates) that it appears we'll be getting some of this. Excellent news." Agreed 100%. Halo 2's Campaign stages may have been less repetitive structurally, but they lacked the expansive nature of most of Halo 1's stages, which often allowed for much less linear gameplay that offered multiple approaches. Halo, Silent Cartrographer, AotCR, and Two Betrayals were simply masterpieces of stage design. "3. Melee attack to be as identical to Halo 1 as possible." Oh God yes. Halo 2's melee lunge was perhaps my most hated change made to the basic gameplay. The lunge is random and inconsistent, takes little skill (the computer does most of the work), and has an annoying habit of slinging you off ledges. "4. As with number 3, I'm wishing that the grenades resemble their Halo 1 counterparts as much as is possible." Same here. This would be especially great since we only get to carry two of each kind of grenade. "5. No skulls or similar features that change the game physics." This isn't really a big issue for me. I never really bothered with the skulls except for grabbing Sputnik on a couple of occasions then going on a tear across the big bridge on Metropolis. I don't see any problem with having a few for the people who want them, but it wouldn't bother me one way or the other if they came back or not. "6. Insta-kill areas just suck. Please loose them. Barries - sure. Insta-kill - sucks." No kidding. Just nix insta-kill zones and bring back fall damage. "7. Campaign stats - wow. I'd like to see as many stats kept for campaign as MP." This might be a good addition, but I'd much rather see something like lifetime statistics for multiplayer, e.g. kills, medals, accuracy, headshots, etc. "8. We NEED a water level." Eh. Might be nice, but it wouldn't be a big loss if there wasn't one. "9. Can we have the Halo 1 physics back please?" This one's a bit more complicated. While I liked how vehicles handled in Halo 2 better, they did fly throught the air from collisions and explosions better in Halo 1. Grenade physics were better in Halo 1. However, the physics in Halo 2 were more comprehensive. You could interact with practically everything that wasn't nailed down, and I liked how objects, debris, and dead bodies crumpled and tumbled over ledges. Halo 3's physics should mostly be a mix of Halo 1 & 2. Well, that's all for now.
