I usually open here by just hurling a bunch of grenades at the Covies and letting the Sentinels mop up - usually there's at most a few grunts left, which the PP can take out at long distance. Then snipe at the Elites until you get one to move up close enough that you can charge in with the shotgun and blow the snot out of him. Ideally you can grab a needler - no cover works both ways, after all. What I really hate is the part after that - where you open the door, and there's two elites and two jackals camped outside waiting to gun you down.
