In Response To: Attack on the Control Room- Best level ever? (Jman) It's certainly my favourite level to play though. I love the sheer length of it; it's a real marathon. Headphones on, controller at the ready, and off we go on a big adventure. Superb. Love that falling snow too! Also great that there are so many ways to play it, as you say. However, you suggested that going it on foot isn't a realistic option. In fact that's my usual way as I enjoy foot-based soldiering the most. I'm doing it all the time. Sure there are a few tricky places, but you get forced into thinking up new tactics to cope, which can make it a whole new experience. Often I forbid myself the sniper rifle to make things harder; have to rethink tactics yet again! Maybe forbid myself the rocket launcher too, which makes the Ghosts and Wraiths a lot more tricky; but you can do it. Of course, the level is also fantastic for the amount of extra fun you can cook up, including two megabattles. No doubt about it, we got real lucky with this level. : I think, off-hand, that AotCR has the most marines you get out of any other level It's actually possible to end up with a squad of eighteen, by doing a trick that gives seven extra Marines near the start. : going sniping with Johnson is just tons of fun Well, maybe if you stay behind him! He just loves shooting buddies in the head. "Damn! He got in the way!" Yeah, nice work Sarge. One down, six to go.
