In Response To: Making a Deal with the Devil (mrbananas) This theory is a very interesting idea. I believe that with the proper research and development we could make an animal with the need of a symbiote. There is a book series called "Animorphs" in this series a species called the yeerks infests hosts by crawling into their ear and wrapping themselves around their brain. In one of the books in this series, the kids that fight the yeerks on earth are transported to a different planet in order to fight another type of enemy. While here they find out that the local species is actually a sybiotic pairing of a body combined with what appears to be a cousin of the yeerks. At some point a group of yeerks must have broke away from the main species and created species that needed them to function. This symbosis could be just the solution needed for the Flood. Maybe thats why the Forerunners didnt just erradicate the flood perhaps that is why 343 gs was relieved to know that someof the flood survived. perhaps the Forerunner were trying to create bodies but needed to be able to contain the flood until they did, thats why they created the halos. | |
