Or perhaps, an even worse possibilty. I was thinking about Nuclear weapons a fw days ago, and how, once dentotated, make an area unlivable for some time. What if the Flood could make the enitre galaxy, or even universe, unsustainble to life? Could also be related to how the Flood can change the atmosphere, according to 343. I mean, what would the Forerunner rather do. Wipe the galaxy clean of all intelligent life for a few thousand years and wipe out the Flood (assuming the Forerunner were unaware of the Flood being capable of hibernating for that long), or leave the galaxy unlivable for billions upon billions of years? And, possibly, have it spread to other galaxies, and spread across this universe. Tough choice, but I know which one I would rather do. |
