In Response To: Re: an excellent article on backwards compatibilit (3Suns) : I agree, though your post makes me laugh in that you and I, probably like : thousands of others, think that the only game that anyone is really : concerned about playing on the Xbox360 is Halo (and 2). ;) : If I were in a position of authority over at Microsoft ::Flexes fingers::, I : would forget about backwards compatibility and focus resources on (as if : resources need to be taken off one thing and put on the other) : 1) porting both Halos in time for Launch (or as close to launch as : possible)and making them available for a reduced price as you suggest, : 2)creating a 10 or 15 dollar mini game entitled "Halo: New : Mombassa" (throwing continuity to the wind). It would be just a : single level including the part of the city designed for the 2003 E3 Demo : - and it would utilize the NovadeX SDK (Ageia's physics simulation) to : power hundreds of objects in the environment - think epic battle that : takes 2 or 3 hours to complete, but has great replayability. It need not : be "New Mombassa", but that already has such consumer awareness : that it is a great place to start, and it does have to be on Earth. : Anyway, it is fun to dream. : Cheers, : Michael : 3Suns Hell, I would like to see just how many 360s they would sell if they bundled both Halos in at no additional charge :P
