An interesting thing I want to point out her is that Grunts can be quite dangerous, and apparently, while theyare the rank and file of the Covenant, are quite competent in the soldiering department. One merely has to look at the battle against Regret and see how important the Grunts are. They are EVERYWHERE, from commando operations all the way up to the personal guards of the Prophet of Regret. This could have factored into the Grunt's rebellion and joining the Elites as well. While the Elites are, publicly, removed from their hallowed guardian duties, they weren't the only ones in that position. I'd imagine that the Grunts were changed for Jackals as well (because both of them failed to protect the Prophet) and that they may not have liked the idea. | |
