: Which is basically what you said, but doesn't discount it from the haloverse. Yes, he possibly implies that the ILB story do not have a huge significance in the halo story. But he doesn't really say it. As far as I can see, all he says is that the ILB consept doesn't interfere in a way that ruins the main plot. In other words he could also say that the ILB story mostly gets the facts straight, and allthough this story is not essential to understand the main plot -you can't rule out general relevance alltogether. I'm not saying it needs to be as direct as these thories you read around here sometimes. Frankly, I think people should stop pretending like ILB has nothing to do on this forum. I'm not really into it myself, but even though these stories has various relevance to the halo story it could be interesting in a wider scope. And unless Louis Wu says otherwise -people should be allowed to have theories involving ILB, and air them here.
