In Response To: In H1, is your shield weaker with low health? (rockslider)

: In H1, I've long had the impression that when your health is low, it's quite
: a bit easier for the Covenant to get through your (fully charged) shield.
: I've been abruptly killed by an Elite's plasma rifle many times like that
: in the rockslide megabattle. Has anyone else felt the same way? Has anyone
: from Bungie ever confirmed it? And if it HAS been confirmed, what are the
: details? Anybody know?

I think it's just the fact that, if your health is low enough, that last projectile takes you out along with the last bit of shield, because the damage doesn't "stop" at the shield, it keeps bleeding through if there's more left to transfer.

As in, If you've only got 1 "point" of health left, and 2 "points" of sheild, then taking 3 points of damage kills you, whereas with 2 points of health, you took just as much damage, but you'd still be alive, which would make it seem like a big difference. Elite Plasma Rifles, if I'm not mistaken, kill you in (~3-5 shots? It's been a while) depending on difficulty... yes, a few lucky shots when you're at low health means a VERY quick death.

I could be wrong, but this just seems like the sort of thing we'd have noticed before now...

I first noted it on Legendary, because you suddenly realize that one "volley" of Plasma Rifle fire from one single Blue Elite can drop you... that took a lot of getting used to for me.
