I've had that possibility in mind thanks, but I'm still not convinced, because I think there have been times when my shield has been weakened much more rapidly than normal, WITHOUT getting completely wiped. Trouble is, it all happens so fast, so I certainly can't swear to it. I suppose the explanation doesn't exactly matter, because either way, the lesson is: when your health is low, be a LOT more careful.
